a halloween treat bucket and some magazine info…

Hi friends!  It’s the first day of Fall Break today so the kids are all home and we’re trying to think of something fun to do (no big vacations or getaways for us since daddy is working and the weather is meh)…but I wanted to hop on quickly this morning to share a couple of things:

First of all, I created this fun Halloween treat bucket to share over on the Northridge Publishing blog, Create:  - there’s a step-by-step tutorial with lots of pictures.

I used the new “Bewitched” collection from We R Memory Keepers – isn’t it fun? I really like the softer colors for a fun bit of a change from the typical boldness that is Halloween.

Also, I have a fun article in the October issue of Scrapbook Trends Magazine…it’s all about buttons!

And I also have an article in the newest Create: Idea book – Holidays…this one covers all three of the big upcoming holidays – Halloween, Thanksgiving, AND Christmas!

holiday treats…

A few months ago (because when you work in the publishing world you’re always a few months ahead of schedule – and I was thinking about Christmas way back in June - …unfortunately, I haven’t figured out how to translate this theory to the rest of my life…anyway…) I was able to write an article all about holiday goodies and treats to share with friends and neighbors.  The article was published in the Create: Holidays idea book.

Over the next week or so, I thought it would be fun to share some of my projects here on my blog.  Today I wanted to share the quickest and easiest idea ever!  Pineapple!

Did you know that a pineapple is a universal sign of hospitality?  That makes it the perfect “neighbor” gift!  Simply add an embellished tag with a festive ribbon and you’re ready to share some sweet tropical goodness.
