I'm going to start my Thanksgiving prep with some fun little treat packets for some of my sweet neighbors. Every mom needs a little treat (full of sugary goodness) when she's knee-deep in Holiday prep, so I'm sending some goodies their way!
Aren't they cute? You'd never guess they had their beginnings in a Halloween collection, would you?!? Here's how easy these packets are to whip up:
Start by cutting a 9" x 6" rectangle from patterned paper. Add scallops to the top and bottom edges with a punch or decorative scissors if you wish:
Use red sticky tape to secure the two outside edges together to form a tube:
Next, press the bottom edges together:
Use a sewing machine to secure the bottom edges together. If you cut scallops, be sure to line them up!
This is how it looks after the bottom is sewn closed. Place the treats inside now!
Next, cut a label shape from a coordinating paper:
And fold it in half:
Use a staple to secure the label across the top of the filled packet:
Add a sticker or a die-cut to cover the staple:
Finally, wrap the packet with twine and tie in a bow!
That's it! Complete!
Here are a few more coordinating options:
Your friends are sure to appreciate the sugary pick-me-up AND the super cute packaging!
Wendy Sue, these are so SWEET!
