The new "Midnight Haunting" collection is definitely one of my favorite Halloween collections ever! I love the gold foiling and wanted to really showcase it on my page!
I cut a "frame" from the black text paper and added the vellum with gold foil spiderwebs behind it. I loved the transparency of the vellum, but ultimately decided I wanted a bit more color, pattern, and stability to my layout. With that in mind, I added three strips of patterned paper across the back. Here's a little trick for you. I used some really old washi tape to secure everything to the back of the black "frame" and then I stitched around it with sewing machine! It's not pretty on the back, but it got the job done. I use washi tape to temporarily secure things all the time— it's a great tool! Here's a peek at the back:
The thickers, stickers, chipboard pieces, and brads add such amazing depth and texture to this page.
Seriously, check out that foiling - doesn't it just make you swoon?
Are you ready for Autumn? Have you scrapbooked your Halloween photos from last year? I challenge you to pull them out (or print them out) and create a fun page with this amazing collection!
