Hello friends! Today, I'm sharing a couple of colorful cards and coordinating envelopes I made for Father's Day. I know it's kind of non-traditional to use colors and designs like this...but Father's Day shares the first day of summer this year - so it's extra appropriate, don't you think, to use the "Fun in the Sun" collection? I have two special dads in my life - mine and my kids' - so I made one card for Grandpa and one card for Dad!

After I made the cards, using the popsicle cards, I decided to use the Envelope Punch Board to create coordinating envelopes for the cards. To top it off, I wanted to use the popsicle patterned paper to line the envelopes! Here's what I did:
First - I made the envelopes (two of them) according to the instructions on the punch board (I used the measurements for the 4 1/2" x 6" card):
Next, I cut a second, smaller envelope (using the instructions for a 4 1/2" x 5" card)

The next step is to trim off the smaller sides:

And cut the piece in half to create two envelope liners:

Next, I rounded the corners on the top of the liners:

And attached the liners to the insides of the envelopes:

And I finished assembling the envelope with adhesive:

That's it! And now I have two cards all ready to give to the two coolest pops I know!!

Happy Father's Day to all of the dads in your life!
