Well, hello friends! I'm finally sharing a CURRENT projects with you here on the ol' blog! I stay busy doing a lot of "behind-the-scenes" work these days...and that's how this project started out...but I was so excited about it that I wanted to share it with all of you too!
This cool Halloween House was inspired by Jana Eubank, and features a cut file from SVGCuts.com. I love using my Silhouette Cameo to cut out projects like this! I won't even tell you how many hours it took (I'm a pretty slow crafter though, so you could probably make it in less time...), but I think it was worth every minute!
All of the base pieces were cut from black felt cardstock by Carta Bella - this cardstock is heavy and perfect for dimensional projects that need to be more sturdy like this one!
I used papers from the "Happy Halloween" collection by Carta Bella Paper for all of the decorative panel pieces.
And I used stickers from the collection to embellish!
Isn't that little trick-or-treater the cutest?
If you look closely, some of the windows have a little bit of spooky action going on as well.
I used some white stamping ink on the black edges. This gives a little bit of a worn/spooky look, plus it helps hide some of the imperfections.
The top lifts off to reveal a hidden little box (but wouldn't you know I forgot to take a picture of that part??) and the back opens up so you can put in some little battery-operated tea-light candles for an eery glow at night!
There's still lots of time before Halloween, so if you're feeling extra inspired and creative, consider whipping up a haunted house of your own! And if you do...PLEASE tell us in the comments and link it up so we can come trick-or-treating at YOUR house!!
