a super quick slice trick…

I just wanted to share a really quick little tip today.  If you have a SLICE, you probably already know about the “shadow” feature, right?  It allows you to make a little “mat” for the image you cut out.  Kind of like this:

bunny_shadow1

or this:

w_shadow1

BUT, did you know that you can also create little outlined shapes?  Like this:

bunny_shadow2

or this:

w_shadow2

Simply cut the image in whatever size you want.  Then do NOT lift the Slice off the cutting mat.  Switch the cutting option to “shadow” and cut again.  I thought this was kind of a fun way to get even more options from your design cards!

I have really debated about the slice. I like the idea of it because I don't have the money for a cricut or silhouette but wondered about how much use it would get. I love the idea of have a outline image. Maybe I should do more research on these.
