Welcome to the Echo Park Paper Design Team Blog Hop!
Today the Echo Park Paper Design Team is showcasing projects from our latest collections. I want to share a card I made using the Fall Fever mini theme collection:
I trimmed the card front so the trees could “float” on the card.
I also tucked leaf stickers at the foot of the trees.
To remove the stickiness from the stickers, I simply rubbed a bit of baby powder on the back.
Luckily, these stickers are a heavier weight so they stand well without any extra support.
You can see (and purchase) the Fall Fever Collection kit by clicking the image below:
Be sure to follow the blog hop list below as you hop from one blog to the next. One winner will be selected from each blog to receive an Echo Park Paper collection kit of their choosing.
To be entered in my drawing, just leave a comment telling when you take down your fall/Thanksgiving décor and replace it with Winter/Christmas decorations. We usually put up our tree and decorate our home the day after Thanksgiving. Leave your comment by midnight EST, Sunday, November 25th to qualify for the drawing. And please be sure to leave your e-mail address so I can contact you if you win! The winner will be announced on each blog Monday, November 26th so be sure to check back to see if you've won.
Here’s the order for the blog hop!

Lovely card! I don't usually go all out for thanksgiving, and my Christmas decorations usually get put up the first week of december
ReplyDeleteLovely card ! here in Argentina we start Christmas decoration on december the 8th...greetings ! ANdrea andreacardoso_27@yahoo.com.ar
ReplyDeleteOh I love it!!! All we really do for thanksgiving is eat....lol. BUT our tree goes up that night after dinner and the rest of the weekend is devoted to shopping and decorating...fun!
ReplyDeleteLol, I am a lazy decorator so my switch over consists of removing fall mums and replacing them with poinsettas - done, lol. And I usually do that the weekend after thanksgiving. Love your card!
ReplyDeleteWow! I love that card. Autumn is my FAVE season, so i love to use that theme when scrapbooking! Love the blog hop! So many great ideas/products!
ReplyDeleteWhat a unique card idea, very cute, love that it's long and narrow, with the trees on top...thanks for the cool idea! :)
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, I just LOVE this idea of the stickers, and the shape of the card...PINNED! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful projects! Love those colors
ReplyDeletebeautiful card
ReplyDeleteGreat card. Fun layers!!!
ReplyDeletewonderful idea of this 3D card, love it!
ReplyDeleteI usually take down the weekend after Thanksgiving after I have recovered from Black Friday.......lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card! Love all the embellishments and the scene you created. We do Christmas after Thanksgiving, but it depends on when I can get some time on my own. I like to (at least the this stage) get most of the decorations up while the girls are away....I like to see their reactions when they come home and see things decorated and lit up. Then a couple weeks before Christmas we'll go and get the tree and decorate it together.
ReplyDeleteLove your 3D card, oh what fun. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHere in peru we don't celebrate thanksgiving. So by November 15th we start to decorate the house for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of the card.
I absolutely love your card! This is me and my husband's first Christmas together as a married couple. We've never done a set time/date to put up Christmas decorations in the past, but this year we decided to start a tradition. We will be puttin up our Christmas decorations the weekend after Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI love the trimmed trees, it's unique
ReplyDeleteLove those trees! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWe travel on Thanksgiving, so we go ahead and try to get some of our Christams stuff up before we leave, and finish the tree and trimmings when we return back home after Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving.

Very cool design. I love how it flows off the base. gives such great visual interest.
ReplyDeleteYour card it really cool! We take down all fall decor on thanksgiving evening and put up Christmas in keeping with the Plaza lighting ceremony every year. We turn on the tv and watch the lighting of our amazing shopping district, the Plaza, and do our own decorating.
ReplyDeletelove the fall layout!
ReplyDeleteLove your card! I try to take down the fall decorations the Friday/Sat. after Thanksgiving but this year it may not happen too fast--my boys have a hockey tournament!
ReplyDeleteWe decorate after Thanksgiving as well.
ReplyDeleteI didn't decorate for Halloween this year and I've never really decorated for Thanksgiving since no one comes to our place. Christmas decorations have no specific time, just whenever I get around to it. Used to be all at once, these days its a bit at a time starting Black Friday and ending whenever I feel its done.
ReplyDeleteI love this card! This year I have mentally skipped over Thanksgiving and am ready for Christmas! Your card is super cute! I love the trees on the top!
ReplyDeleteKayla F.
Love you card and the way the trees stand on their own ! We usually replace fall with CHristmas the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Some years this slips to the first weekend in December.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very pretty card!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the trees and how they stick up above the whole card.
ReplyDeleteThe floating trees are spectacular!! Thanks for the baby powder trick, you inspired me to try something like this.
ReplyDeleteYour card is amazing! Love it! THanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAdorable decoration!
ReplyDeleteWow stunning! Love that you also show how the front of the cards looks from the back... does that make sense? :D
ReplyDeleteSo very nice! The colors and images are all so wonderful! I'm in the mood for Thanksgiving now!
ReplyDeleteWe wait until December 1 to start putting up the Christmas decorations. We also get a live tree and wait to get that at least a week into December (depending on when weekends and Christmas falls.)
TFS!
The hop is such a great idea to discover new blogs and inspiration! Thank you so much for the hop and for the chance to win some EP candy :)
ReplyDeleteI like how your "floated" the trees! We wait til after the Thanksgiving weekend to decorate for Christmas.

Great fall card. Since I am Canadian my Thanksgiving decorations are away and Christmas goes up the first week of December.
ReplyDeleteI usually do it the week of Thanksgiving delending on what day I have open and can manage to move around after the feast I usually stuff myself with!
ReplyDeletevalechula@gmail.com
The day after Thanksgiving is my decorating work day. Great card.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful fall card!!
ReplyDeleteLove this collection! Cute card!
ReplyDeleteI didn't really put up any fall decor this year (bad crafter, I know...). But my Winter/Christmas decor goes up after my hubby's birthday. Which isn't til the end of the month. So I have to wait for Dec 1st to decorate :)
Beautiful card! Thanks for the baby powder tip for stickers!
ReplyDeleteI have my Christmas ready to go on December 1. I don't put up a lot of stuff so I can do it in one day. I did wash the front window yesterday (while the temp was 60) and put the lights around the window but I won't turn them on until Dec 1. The Thanksgiving stuff will be put away during the week before the 1st.
ReplyDeleteLove your card with the floating trees.

We decorate for Christmas the weekend after Thanksgiving. I use snowmen and keep everything up until February.
ReplyDeleteWow what a fun card!!! Love all the little details! As for me, I have to admit that i don't really decorate for Fall. The only thing I put up is a fall wreath on the door, and that comes down the weekend after Thanksgiving.

ReplyDeleteCool card, love how you did the trees!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! I love the trees and I'm tucking that baby powder tip away!
ReplyDeletelove the trees... amazing card
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous fall card; a project I'd find challenging to put away!! Christmas decorating beings the first week in December. Even though we go away for Christmas (to the in-laws this year), we'll have festive surroundings at home. This year, my plan is to 'add a decoration daily' - can't wait to begin. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.
ReplyDeleteLove your beautiful fall card! The day after Thanksgiving we switch out our decorations. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteNo decorating until December first. Then i can include it in my December daily.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous!! I love the beautiful design!! Thanks so much for the inspiration!! I actually put my Christmas decorations up before Thanksgiving...I love to enjoy the tree for as long as possible :)

Pretty card, love the elongated look! We put up the tree and start decorating the morning after Thanksgiving too :) It's usually a race between my mom and I, she will probably try to sneak by me this year and put hers up the night OF Thanksgiving! :)
ReplyDeleteWe put up our Christmas decorations the weekend after Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card! We never put up Christmas decorations before December.
ReplyDeleteLove this card, especially the top where the trees are cut out.
ReplyDeleteFall decor stays up until November 30... Christmas lights, decor, wreaths etc. go up December 1st... tree (always real) gets decorated Dec 24 and taken down Jan 6. I grew up in Europe and still do things the old fashioned way.
ReplyDeleteI like to put up the Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving
ReplyDeleteAmazing Love Love Love!!
ReplyDeletethanks so much for the inspiration with your share
hugz
What a great card.. I love how you have the trees above but still part of the card. This is one of the greatest collections.. so cute.
ReplyDeleteFall Decor comes down a couple days after thanksgiving and the Christmas decos come out including the tree.
ReplyDeletePretty card! Love the fall colors!
ReplyDeleteI don't do much fall decorating, but I would take it down at the end of Nov/ early Dec. By mid Dec I am decorating for Christmas!

Lovely to see another recent collection to inspire!
ReplyDeleteWe don't do Thanksgiving in NZ but I'm decorating for Christmas about 2nd week of Christmas lotso f fun with the kiddies.

What a sweet card! I usually put up my tree the day before Thanksgiving, and start decorating then. Having 5 days off from work allows me to get a head start, and still be able to get some shopping done on Friday.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors ! Thanks for this Hop.
ReplyDeleteAwesome card. Really like the top/floating tree effect. The fallen leaves add a special realism. Love. TFS!
ReplyDeleteNo set time for decor change. When I feel the 'spirit' of a season, get caught-up in it; that's when I decorate.
ReplyDeleteYour card is great! Very inspirational and great use of the kit.
ReplyDeleteFantastic paper line and great card!
ReplyDeleteWonderful card. I love all your details. Great job.
ReplyDeleteLove the Fall Fever!
ReplyDeleteI put away my Fall decorations and put up my tree and Christmas decorations on Thanksgiving afternoon---right after I've had my big Thanksgiving lunch---it's a great way to work it off!
ReplyDeleteI started this tradition a few years ago when my son wanted to go ahead and put up the tree---
We take it down on new year's day---so it really works out well doing it this way!

Looking at your project just reminded me that I have this digital collection. I am going to work on Thanksgiving decorations when I get home from work. Thanks for the inspiration
ReplyDeleteLOVE this fall line. But then, I love anything EP! We take down our fall decor sometime the week after the holiday. Just right before it hits December 1 on the calendar and then out comes the Christmas decor..ha!

We buy our Christmas Tree on the first Saturday of December and decorate it on Monday Night just after that. We have a "trimming" party - we make french bread pizzas and "trim" them with our favorite toppings. I make large tree sugar cookies and we "trim" them too. Then we trim the tree! I put up all the other decorations slowly starting the day after Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this card! I knew I should get this mini kit when I first saw it, now I am convinced I NEED it! My family is observant Roman Catholic and in the past, I have had a strict policy NOT to decorate for Christmas until the start of Advent, which lately has been the Sunday after Thanksgiving (but not this year!). But, we don't spend Christmas at home and don't get to enjoy our festive decorations as long as we would like, so I have conceded putting them up a little early, usually the weekend after Thanksgiving. BUT, we don't take them down until Epiphany (January 6)!
ReplyDeleteusually the day after thanksgiving...i can't wait to get out the christmas lights! there is nothing like sitting on the couch after everyone has gone to bed & just looking at the tree in the quiet :)
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas decorations go up on the 1st of December. Can't wait. Thanks for the inspiration and for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteIt's not our tradition to celebrate thanksgiving, we usually celebrate as thanks for good health, job promotion, birthday and other celebrations. this year I won't be decorating our home since we will be spending our Christmas and New Year over at my mom and dad.

Love the card you made, it would also be perfect for a small home decor piece!
ReplyDeletewonderful layering and dimension. I put up some garlands and things with my Thanksgiving decor, but after Black Friday all the autumn stuff goes away and out comes Christmas and winter. thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteReally fun fall card! Love how it is tall and how you cut the trees out.
ReplyDeleteI'm in Canada so I start decorating right after Remembrance Day. We already have almost a foot of snow so the earlier I can decorate outside, the better! The inside usually waits until the last weekend in November so I can watch football (Canadian Football League championships on the Sunday) while I listen to Christmas tunes and sip hot cider.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card, love all the layers!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this card--FUN design!
ReplyDeleteAs for decorating--we don't have holiday decorations. I love love love Thanksgiving--but in FL it doesn't seem like the holidays (since its' sooooo hot!). As for Christmas, we are never around so we don't really put them up. I wish we did because I miss the Christmas tree/etc. That is one of our goals this year!!! <3
Thanks for the chance to win:) sbmmhoover at yahoo dot com
Fantastic looking card. I love the Fall colors!
ReplyDeleteWe'll take down the decor two weeks later.
Then we'll start preparing for the Christmas decor with the kids.

ReplyDelete1st wknd in Dec!
ReplyDeleteNice fall card
ReplyDeleteI love this card! The layout and the layers are wonderful! The colors are perfect and the cutout in the trees is a great idea! Just a beautiful card all around! Thanks so much for sharing, hugs, Debra
ReplyDeleteWonderful card. I love this cut out trees on the top.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. I love Fall projects!
ReplyDeleteGreat card! Way outside my comfort zone with all sorts of things sticking past the edges, but I love it!
ReplyDeleteNo set decor change time, but usually Christmas goes up after Dec 1, and the tree much later as I prefer live trees.

Wow!! That is amazing. Loving this hop.
ReplyDeleteLove your card! I just purchased the Fall Fever Mini-Theme kit and I am stalking the mailman waiting for it to arrive!
ReplyDeleteWe start getting out the Christmas tree and ornaments the weekend after Thanksgiving but it takes more than that to get everything out! The ceramic turkey is still out and won't get totally put away till Monday, probably!
ReplyDeleteNothing specific - depends on the year. Sometime in Dec is likely when it goes down/up.
ReplyDeleteLove the card!!! The colors and layering is awesome
ReplyDeleteWe don't celebrate thanksgiving here so we only take our Christmas decors up when we hit December
The decorations usually only comes down a month after Christmas or after new year ;)
Wow! Gorgeous!!
