A couple of weeks ago, on a Sunday afternoon, Brad and I took the little boys out for a drive. They wanted to see the leaves in the mountains. Meagan and Josh chose to stay home. We headed up Daniel’s Canyon, but the leaves weren’t really changing up there yet, so we turned around and drove to Midway. Wow – it was gorgeous.
I loved following behind and watching Brad as he pointed out fun little details to the little boys – who soaked up every word…
We weren’t actually planning on getting out and walking…thus the flip flops and church shoes (and socks, ugh)…but we just couldn’t resist when we got up there and everything was so gorgeous!
At one point, Zach took the lead – he thought this steep little spot on the trail would be a great place to stop.
Seth wasn’t so sure…
There’s something almost reverent to me about the colors of Autumn. What a beautiful world we are blessed to live in. I am so grateful for the changing of seasons, the beauty of the earth, and the opportunities we have to enjoy all of it.
I love your pictures- they are beautiful and your boys are adorable! I too love the changing of the seasons. I had always wanted to live in sunny Florida, but I don't think I could ever live somewhere without a distinct change in seasons.
ReplyDeletewhat great pictures Wendy and Autumn is my FAVORITE time of the year so I agree with you about the colors, the beauty and the changing of seasons....would LOVE to see what you do with these pics..
