random thursday...

Today seems like a good day to jot down a few random thoughts, so here I go:

  • Cranberry Coca-Cola. Have you tried it? I did...and now I want it every single day. It's at Sonic and it is yuuuummmy.

  • Snow. It's coming. Later today. Again Tomorrow. Again Saturday.

  • Holiday Party. Cancelled. Saturday was supposed to be our family Christmas party for Brad's side of the family. We got a phone call last night that it will be cancelled (see above for the reason -- too many people traveling too far to risk snow-packed roads). Hopefully we can do it later this month.

  • Derby. Pinewood. Josh had his first one. He placed 4th. Not bad at all for his first time.

  • Medal. Meagan won one Tuesday night. She won in the Photography category of the Reflections contest. Now her photo goes to the district-wide contest. (I forgot to take my camera to the assembly...I need to take a picture of her with her award, ribbon, and medal.)

  • Spotlight. Paper Crafts Magazine. I neglected to mention it on my blog the day it went up. I was honored when Stacy asked me if she could feature me on their blog. (Click here if you'd like to see the interview - scroll down to November 28)

  • Family Photos. Finally got the enlargement ordered yesterday - AGAIN. Let's hope the 3rd time is a charm.

  • Music. It's no secret I love my holiday music. I've recently discovered Pandora.com. Oh my gosh -- I am in LOVE with it. If you haven't tried it yet, you should definitely check it out.

  • Journal. Here are two more pages -- December 4th and December 5th:

  • Romney. I am not a "political" person...I don't like controversy...I don't care if you think he should win or not...you have to respect the man for stepping up and trying to answer the questions. I was very impressed by the speech he just finished giving this morning in response to critics and questions about his faith.

"Freedom requires religion just as religion requires freedom.
Freedom opens the windows of the soul so that man can discover his most profound
beliefs and commune with God. Freedom and religion endure together, or perish
alone."

  2. Fun post Wendy. I enjoyed all the random thoughts. My poor Morgan came in last at the derby we had a while back. We need to brush up and do better next time - we'll have to make 2 cars for the next one since Carson is in now too. Way cool about Meagan in the photography contest - she's following in her mom's footsteps! Thanks for the Pandora tip. I'd never heard of it and I have it on right now with Josh Groban. LOVE it - think I'll be doing lots of listening.
