I just ran outside for a second to do something and when I came back in Joshua was lying on the floor next to the baby with a cup of ice water tipped over on the carpet next to him. Here’s how our conversation went:
Me: Josh, did you spill that water?
Him: Yes
Me: You knew you spilled it and you didn’t clean it up?
Him: Yes
Me: WHY?
Him: I was waiting for you to tell me to clean it up.
Me: If you spill something and you know it, please just clean it up yourself. You don’t have to wait for me to tell you to do it.
Him: Sorry, Mom, but you’re just in charge of that stuff!
So now I know why things don’t get done until I ask!! LOL :o) What a kid!!
ROFLMHO! That's hilarious. That totally sounds like something Kaden would say. I can't remember what I was trying to do, but Kaden wanted to help me. He said, "Stand back Mama, I'LL show you how it's done." ROFL...he just turned 4. Smart little stink. Don't kids say the darndest things?!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! I had this happen the other day with koolaid! My DD (9 yrs) spilled a cup of koolaid all over the floor. I told her to grab some papertowels and wipe it up and then wipe it up with a washcloth. She used half a roll of paper towels on the floor, then left them on the floor and wiped it up with a DRY washcloth! I looked at her dumbfounded and couldn't understand how this happened...where did I go wrong??? I guess I am in charge of this stuff too! LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great laugh!
