I made this fun stocking for Making Memories using the Slice and a few different Slice Design cards
(see supply list at the end of this post for details).
I had fun mixing and matching several different fabric pieces – layering everything on a brown base
and machine stitching everything down with brown thread.
I wish I could remember the fabric line I used…but I can’t…sorry.
My kids are wondering how I can make such fun stockings for my work – yet we are still using boring store bought stockings…
I am wondering that myself – because I made this stocking from start to finish in one afternoon/evening.
I really should get busy and make personalized stockings for my kids to hang on the mantle this year…
Slice Elite or Slice Fabrique (available mid-December)
Wendy, this is GREAT. You did such a wonderful job. I sure would like to see your sewing in person. Got any tips to share? And did you have to end up making a stocking for everyone in the family?..ha!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
this is super cute! i love all the stitching! and that's funny about the kids asking why you're still using store bought stockings. lol! we have the cheapest, ugliest stockings, that we've been using for 14 years. i guess it's sort of tradition. but i should honestly get something (or making something) that matches our decor and style better. lol!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet stocking! Did you use iron on interfacing or just cut right through the fabric?
ReplyDeleteLoved checking out your blog, your very talented :O)
