monday morning…

First of all, thanks for the fun weekend comments – random.org chose our winner - #9:

I am done. Hopefully I wont have to go to the store until after Christmas

Please e-mail me so I can get your stamps in the mail! :o)

-----------------------------------------------------

We had a great weekend…spent lots of time together – inside, out of the RAIN.  Crazy to see so much rain in Heber in December – we NEVER get rain in December!  However, overnight, the rain has turned to snow, and now I’m getting ready to go out and shovel for the 2nd time today (and it’s only 9:30 am).

I get to go watch Zach’s preschool Christmas program in a little while – sad that Brad couldn’t get off work to go – but grateful I can take a video so the rest of the family can enjoy the cuteness later!

I was able to pull out all of my Christmas purchases, spread everything out, and make a very small list of items I still need to purchase – feels great to be almost done with shopping.

Our toy room is the cleanest it’s been since we moved in – we all spent about 3 hours in there on Saturday afternoon – feels good to have one room completely done!

We have a very big Christmas surprise to share…but not quite yet…it’s something we’ve been wanting for a very very long time – can’t wait until we can let the cat out of the bag.  (fyi:  the term “cat” is PURELY proverbial as half of us are very allergic to cats…and no, we will not be adding human beings to our family either – just in case that’s what you were thinking) :o)

I ordered this DVD game from Amazon last night…I think it will be a perfect Christmas Evening family activity!  I love the classic holiday kid’s shows…plus, at only $5 and free shipping…I figured I couldn’t go wrong!

Finally, I’d love to share another little gift project I made for the Cosmo Cricket blog last Saturday:

cc_mw_boxes_filtered

I used my Silhouette to cut the boxes from various Mitten Weather papers.  I embellished with a bit of ribbon, some chipboard, and some paper accents – the  result is a set of 3 quick and easy mini boxes perfect for holding gift cards and/or little treats!

[Also, if you’d like a chance to win a fun prize package, hop on over to the Cosmo Cricket blog and leave a comment on this post.]

  2. Thanks for posting about your Amazon deal! Right after reading your blog I hopped onto Amazon and ordered mine. What a deal!!!! I had been looking for an extra gift for my kids to open on Christmas Eve and this was perfect! Inexpensive AND gives us something to do as a family after all the gifts have been opened.
