welcoming october…

You’ll never guess what we did last night.  It involved two little boys…pumpkins from Days Market…and a VERY nice daddy (‘cause you know mommy would never do such a thing)!  Yep.  Pumpkin Carving.  Brad was nice and told the boys they could each choose a SMALL pumpkin and we would carve them.

Zach asked for a Bat, so Brad carved a bat in his pumpkin.  Seth wanted a Vampire…so I attempted a vampire, although looking at it now, it looks a little more like a wolf-man than a vampire.  Oh well…they were happy.  And they were thrilled to wake up this morning to find the pumpkins still on the porch.  We had a sad pumpkin smashing incident last year that apparently left our kids scarred…so nice of a few teenage neighborhood boys...

We also roasted the pumpkin seeds per Zach’s request.  I love roasted pumpkin seeds…nobody else in the family really cares for them though, so I don’t usually do it…our house smelled so good last night!

I’m so glad today is Friday – looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend!  I have a few projects planned – things I can do while I watch and listen to General Conference.  Can’t wait to share some of those projects here later! :o)
