reverse confetti new release blog hop…

Hi there!  Happy Thursday – and welcome to this stop on the Reverse Confetti Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from Stacey Schafer ‘s blog.  If you’re just joining in, please hop over to the Reverse Confetti blog to start at the beginning!

For today’s project, I used the “Sugary Sweet Sentiments” stamp set, the “square tag” and “puppy love” Confetti Cut dies to make these little Valentine’s Day treats.

I found these cute heart-shaped suckers and knew they’d be a fun little treat to share with some special kiddos. ;) The best part about it is that the cute tags were so quick and easy to make and they really make the treat special.

wendysue_sucker_green2I started by creating the tags with the “square tag” die – cut from papers found in Echo Park’s “Fine & Dandy” collection.

wendysue_sucker_orange2I didn’t want my tags to be “traditional” in valentine colors, but I wanted it to be obvious they were for Valentine’s Day, so I added a die-cut heart, with a die found in the puppy love die set. I added a heart to the center of each tag.wendysue_sucker_blue3

The arrows were part of a border sticker.  I cut them all apart, then cut them in half, tucking them under the hearts.

Finally, I used versamark ink to stamp the sentiment and black embossing powder to finish it up!  I used a simple white ribbon to tie the tags onto the sucker sticks.  And now I’m excited to have one little Valentine’s Day project already checked off my list!

By the way, if you love dressing up store-bought treats with a little handmade touch, you’ll definitely want to check out the sugary sweet stamp set – everything from suckers to mints and fish…lots of fabulous ideas and I can’t wait to try something else!

Now, don’t forget, this is a fabulous Reverse Confetti blog hop with lots of amazing ideas from the designers using all of the amazing products released this month – all of which are available TODAY!!  Just click over to the Reverse Confetti Shop after you’re done with the hop.  Your next stop will be the uber talented Sarah Gough – you won’t want to miss her awesome projects!  Have fun hopping along! :)
