Dear snow,
Please go away. I am so over you. Granted, you are beautiful...and you do have a lot to offer...but sometimes even the most beautiful things need to take a break. You have overstayed your welcome. I know you think you are welcome here whenever you want to come. What, with our ski resorts and snowmobiles and such, it's understandable how you might be confused. But I am here because I want to be your friend. The kind of friend who is willing to be honest with you. We had softball tryouts last night. softball. In case you did not know, softball is NOT a winter sport. That means we have moved on. We tried to be subtle...our tulips are coming up, our grass has started to turn green, we have even been buying short-sleeved shirts and sandals. But you just don't seem to get it. You really need to go now. Take a break. Enjoy your vacation. Come back again in 7 or 8 months. We'll be happy to see you again when you arrive. But for now...please just go.
Thank you.
you're so funny wendy! hoping this letter works for you ;)
ReplyDeleteFunny I make this same plea with Texas Summers. Hope for the best!!
ReplyDeleteA---MEN!!! lol!
ReplyDeleteHere, here!
ReplyDeleteYou get buried in your neck of the woods - you are definitely due for some Spring weather. :)
It rarely snows in my part of TX. Usually we're begging for it to be cool.
ReplyDeleteThis is the funniest thing I've read in a long time! And usually we are saying the same thing at this time of the year in Buffalo, but the weird thing is, for the first time in like 50 years it didn't even snow in March! And so far April is clear, too! Yea! Hoping your break comes very soon. I feel your pain!
ReplyDeleteAnother Amen from here in Murray. Please let us have a real spring without more snow! This is a great post.
