just in case you were wondering...

...this is what it looks like at my house in the middle of a huge snow storm. :o)
Brad headed out early with the snowblower (along with lots of neighbors) to try and get a jump on the snow. (Can you see the size of those snowflakes? They are huge!)

Meagan was right behind him and she grabbed the shovel and started to shovel the front steps and sidewalk.
This is on the back patio - our patio furniture is almost hidden by all the snow!
And this is straight out the back door - the old fence that separates our yard from the huge field is almost covered. And you can see the sprinklers in the field are buried too --crazy!!
I took out a ruler and had Meagan measure the fresh snow (not counting what was already on the ground). We had gotten about 8 1/2 inches of fresh snow since midnight last night. Brad said it probably snowed another 2 inches after that, while he was out clearing snow. And that was two hours ago...it's STILL snowing...and I think it is supposed to continue all day. I think it's time to go out and hit the sidewalks again!!!
I am so grateful for all of the moisture we're receiving this winter - we really need it. And it's beautiful too! (I'm just grateful I don't have to do much driving in this kind of weather.)

  3. Wendy,
You can have it! After New Years, I'm ready for spring! And I think it's because I do have to drive in it. I don't have a very understanding boss!

  4. That's an amazing amount of snow you got up there. We didn't get nearly that much in Provo. I am so loving winter this year, though, the frequent storms keep the inversions from forming. Yay!
