I was so excited to be asked to join the Papertrey Ink Senior Design team members for a fun challenge to kick off July - stamping on fabric!
I couldn't resist this sweet new stamp set - vintage picnic...and the fun 4th of July basket contents (how cute is that set?!?)
I used a lightweight cotton fabric to stamp on. I ironed on a stabilizer first...then just started stamping with Staz-On ink. I don't have any fancy-schmancy coloring tools, so I just used plain old colored pencils on the fabric. I actually re-stamped a few of the images after I colored them, just to make the black lines a little more crisp and clean (super easy to do with these types of stamps).
I stamped the basket on the gingham fabric, cut it out, and added it over the basket "contents" which were already stamped and colored. I also tucked a little piece of frayed fabric between the layers.
I thought these fabulous vintage buttons were the perfect accent to my little vintage picnic scene...
I went a little crazy with the walnut ink...haven't used it in years...but I thought it was the perfect way to age the fabric, ribbon, and edges of the cardstock for this card.
Thanks, again, to Nichole at PTI for inviting me to join her team for this fun challenge!
