it’s reverse confetti “two ‘fer” time…

I just LOVE when I can get a “two ‘fer” – a two-for-one- deal…don’t you?  I especially love when I can use the “scraps” or left-overs from a project to create a second project!  This card set is a perfect example of just that!

I created the focal point piece for two cards with one “quick card panel” from Reverse Confetti!  The cute “heart love” confetti cuts die made it possible!

I simply cut the entire piece from the center of the quick card panel (pictured on the left side above).  I used the card panel and the “negative pieces from the die-cut image to piece back together the heart and “love” image.  I used foam adhesive squares to pop up the heart.  I just love how a little bit of dimension adds so much to a project!  I used patterned papers, stickers, and twine from Doodlebug design (links below) to complete this fun black and red card.

For my second card, I used the white piece that I cut out of the card panel.  I replaced the itty bitty pieces in the center of the “l” and the “e” and that’s it!  I used patterned papers, a cute love-bug sticker, washi tape, and “sprinkles” from Doodlebug Design as well as a cute patterned paper from Pebbles Inc. to complete this cute card.

Isn’t it fun to see how different these two cards look, even with the SAME piece used as the main element?  I love that!

are you feeling lucky…

I am!  Because I got to play with Doodlebug’s new “Happy Go Lucky” collection recently!  I just couldn’t wait to create a set of fun cards to give to my kiddos on St. Patrick’s Day.  Here’s a peek:

These two little leprechauns are my favorite stickers in the entire collection!

I loved adding little pins and clips and dimensional embellishments to each card!

I hope the kids are as excited about the cards as I am – and check me out…I’ve already started prepping for a holiday that’s almost 2 months away!! ;)  Now I just need to get some Valentine’s Day prep started!

Have a great day?

make your own snow…

Yep, when the sky doesn’t want to cooperate and send snowflakes my way…I simply make my own snow!  Out of paper, of course. ;)  I created these fun snowflakes to use as accents on a layout I am sharing over on the Pebbles, Inc. blog today!wendysueanderson_snow_layout3

I used a Designer Die Set by Echo Park Paper to create the fluffy flakes – aren’t they sweet?

Thanks for stopping by – have fun making some snow for yourself…this kind is the best, because I don’t have to DRIVE in it! :)

how to organize cards for 2015…

It happens every year in January – I want to clean and organize EVERYTHING!  I know I’m not alone – a quick perusal of all of my favorite blogs and websites confirms that! ;) I love seeing how other people clean and organize, so I thought I’d share this this fun little organization project here today.  I am so excited to be able to organize all of my handmade cards for the entire year!
