clip_image001

We couldn’t resist the idea of doing our first official “Blog Hop” on “Leap Year Day.” We'd like to invite you to join us as we have a Hopping Good Time today!

FIVE lucky winners will receive one of everything in our Hello Spring collection!

clip_image002

We don’t have the brand new Hello Spring products yet, but I wanted to create a “springy” card to share with you today…so I used products from the super cute line “Ladybug Garden” to put together this springy little card:

doodlebug_card

*please excuse the SNOW in the background…kind of takes away from the whole “spingy” feel, doesn’t it? lol

doodlebug_card1

I just love the create-a-card bases – this tri-fold is one of my favorites.

echo park’s “a boys life” blog hop…

Welcome to the Echo Park Paper "A Boy's Life" Design Team Blog Hop!

Holiday Happenings

Today the Design Team is showcasing projects highlighting the "A Boy"s Life" collection.

I’d like to share this little box I embellished with products from this sweet boy line!  I think it will be so cute to sit on the shelf in my boys’ bedroom.

a_boys_life_box_decor_wendysue

I simply covered the star-shaped box with patterned papers included in the 6x6 paper pad (I LOVE these 6x6 pads- they are the perfect size for projects like this!) using mod podge.

To add the airplane, I placed the sticker on cardstock and cut out around the edges.  Next, I added white floral wire between the plane layers, curled it around a pencil, and poked it through the box top, twisting to secure it underneath.

Be sure to follow the blog hop list below. Leave a comment on each designers' blog, as well as, the Echo Park Paper blog to be included in the drawing. ONE winner will be selected to win the "A Boy's Life" collection kit. All comments are due by midnight MST, Sunday, February 26 to qualify for the drawing. The winner will be announced on Monday, February 27 on the Echo Park Paper blog so be sure to check back to see if you've won.

something special to share - and a giveaway…

On February 15th, Paper Smooches released their newest set called "Little Fella" and I am here today to help promote this sweet set!  This is the fourth stamp set from their new "Kismet collection."  Here’s the card I made with this fun new set:

dude_card

My all-time favorite technique for stamps is to paper-piece.  I stamped and embossed the frog twice, once on green patterned paper and once on yellow patterned paper (both from Bella Blvd.’s Spring Flings line).  I cut out each frog and layered the yellow crown on my little green frog prince.

dude_card1

Next, I used a couple of the word stamps (don’t you just love this sweet font?!?) to stamp on the tag and inside the mini card (which is attached to the main card front).

dude_card2

Since I have 3 little boys and a slew of nephews, I am very partial to boy-themed products…and these stamps definitely hit the mark for me !  I love the cute images included with this set (the frog is only 1 of the ELEVEN (!!!) image stamps (and there are also FOUR sentiment stamps included)…love the versatility and variety.  And just because they would work well for boys definitely doesn’t mean I won’t be using them on some girl themed projects as well…how cute would this frog be stamped on PINK chevron paper?!?

Now, Kim asked me to create ONE card to share today…but I loved the set so much, I just couldn’t help putting together another little card.

cuteasaurous_card

Cuteasaurous is right, right?!?  I just love these little dinosaurs.  I stamped and embossed them in three different colors.  After cutting them out, I added little gems to their spots.  Of course, I used my foam pop-dots (because I LOVE them) to attach the sweet dinos to this fun shaped card base (from Doodlebug).

cuteasaurous_card1

I thought these little dinos looked like they wanted to be on parade…so I popped on some balloon brads and made the sentiment into a little flag…now they seem to be celebrating something fun (probably a certain little boy’s birthday)! ;)

cuteasaurous_card2

I could have kept creating and sharing…but I figured you might want me to get to the good part now:

I have one "Little Fella" stamp set to give away to one lucky person!  All you need to do is leave a comment on this post – please be sure to include your e-mail address so I can contact you if you win!  You have until midnight on February 19th to leave a comment.  I will post the winner here on Monday, February 20th.

For more chances to win...please visit the Paper Smooches Blog  and my cute friend, Kimber McGray’s blog too!   Good luck! :)
