a photo challenge…

Now, I don’t claim to be a photographer by any means.  I’m a mom who loves to take pictures and document those pictures and the stories behind them through scrapbooking.

zachI don’t have a lot of technical knowledge. I’ve picked up a few tips from people who are much more talented than myself.  So, without proclaiming any special skills, knowledge, or abilities, I am hosting a little photo challenge on the Two Peas blog right now.

It’s all about Black & White conversions and WHY you might want to convert your photos. If you’re interested, you can read all about WHY I converted these three photos to black & white (here).

Check it out HERE in the Two Peas challenge gallery – and if you take me up on the challenge, you just might win a Two Peas gift certificate for yourself!

woodgrain…

What comes to mind first when you hear the term “woodgrain?”  I’ll admit, for me it was the paneling we had in our basement when I was a little girl.  [Not a pretty picture, really.]  But once I got over that mental image, I have to say that I’ve become enamored with all the woodgrain possibilities for scrapbooking.  So much, in fact, that I dedicated my Monday “Trendspotting” post over on the Create: blog to it this week.  Yep, a post all about woodgrain products!  (Not to be confused with the actual WOOD products available right now that I am loving equally as much!)

You can check out my ode to woodgrain HERE.  Or you can check out some of my favorite woodgrain products below (click on the thumbnails for larger images & more information)! :)

celebrate being together…

Guess what?  I have another layout on the Lily bee design blog today!  It’s been so fun being their guest designer this month!  Today I am sharing a layout using their Persnickety line.  You might remember that I used this line last week to create a card set…(check it out here)…see how versatile this line is?!?

I sure do love the chevron print!

And those banner stickers are so so so cute!

And you already know how much I LOVE their little letter stickers.  Probably my all-time favorite letter stickers.  (and I’ve been around a LONG time, lol)  Now that I’m looking at this, I can see the “n” is a little skeewhompus – need to fix that…  But seriously, aren’t these the best little letter stickers – and check out all the colors they are available in:

You also probably know how much I love hand-written journaling, but sometimes computer printed journaling just looks better.  That’s what I did on this page.

And tucking a square sticker under the photo makes it look like a little tag – another current favorite of mine!

And if you are a fan of lily bee products, don’t forget to check out their current design team call – here!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day! :)
