clip_image002

We don’t have the brand new Hello Spring products yet, but I wanted to create a “springy” card to share with you today…so I used products from the super cute line “Ladybug Garden” to put together this springy little card:

*please excuse the SNOW in the background…kind of takes away from the whole “spingy” feel, doesn’t it? lol

I just love the create-a-card bases – this tri-fold is one of my favorites.

Keep your eye out in the challenge section of the website (here) to see the challenge I’ll be issuing to YOU – as well as a chance to win a prize from Two Peas if you take me up on my challenge!

inspired_byI have to tell you that I’ve been a big fan of Two Peas for a very very very long time.  I registered my user name way back in 1999 (I know!!)…and I’ve seen a lot of amazing projects over the years.  Two Peas has also been a go-to place for me – whether I was looking for something specific, or just wanting to look at eye candy.  There have been SO many scrapbookers who have inspired me…it’s hard to choose just one.  I’m glad I get to choose at least one each month to highlight here on my digest post.  Today, I’d love to share a link to the gallery of someone I “bookmarked” a long, long time ago – April 2, 2007 to be exact – Summer Fullerton.  Click on her photo to check out her gallery! :)

Thanks for all the inspiration you’ve shared over the years, Summer! :)

Have you ever taken a class from Shimelle Laine?  I have – and it was amazing.  She is amazing!  She’s creative and fun and just a great teacher.  She just released her newest class, available exclusively through Two Peas in a Bucket.

shimelle_class_pages

Here’s a little bit about her class:  “Are you drowning in a sea of scrapbook supplies and a plethora of photos, but wish things just came together easily? Then The Hitchhiker's Guide to Scrapbooking is just what you need: your guide to life, the universe and pretty paper! Join Garden Girl Shimelle Laine for this self-paced workshop you can use any time. Over five chapters, she'll share forty-two brand new scrapbook pages and easy-to-follow advice on choosing supplies, designing pages, embellishing your work and writing your memories. Each chapter includes a printable PDF and coordinating video, plus the guide's bonus reference section includes sketches, supply lists and other handy hints. Designed for scrapping at home or at a crop, The Hitchhiker's Guide to Scrapbooking reminds you: Don't Panic - get crafting!”

The content of this workshop is available right now!  The lessons are available for you to work at your own pace and upon purchase can be accessed in the Workshops section under Classes & Events. A private message board forum is also available to ask questions for Shimelle and to connect with other participants.

Guess what?  I get to give away ONE spot in Shimelle’s new class!  All you need to do is leave a comment here on my blog (Be sure to mention your 2Peas username in your comment).  I’ll leave the comments open until Saturday at midnight – then I’ll choose a random winner.  If you don’t want to wait until next week to get started with Shimelle’s class, go ahead and purchase it now (here!) – if you are chosen as the winner, you can choose a refund or you can pass the spot on to a friend!

Whew, that was a long post!  You made it through to the end…I hope you've enjoyed my installment of the Gardener's Digest for this month!  Your next hostess is none other than the very sweet and talented Wilna Furstenberg!  Thanks so much for stopping by today – I hope you found some inspiration!

Click on over to Wilna’s blog next and enjoy!

echo park’s “a boys life” blog hop…

Welcome to the Echo Park Paper "A Boy's Life" Design Team Blog Hop!

Holiday Happenings

Today the Design Team is showcasing projects highlighting the "A Boy"s Life" collection.

I’d like to share this little box I embellished with products from this sweet boy line!  I think it will be so cute to sit on the shelf in my boys’ bedroom.

a_boys_life_box_decor_wendysue

I simply covered the star-shaped box with patterned papers included in the 6x6 paper pad (I LOVE these 6x6 pads- they are the perfect size for projects like this!) using mod podge.

a_boys_life_box_decor_b_wendysue

To add the airplane, I placed the sticker on cardstock and cut out around the edges.  Next, I added white floral wire between the plane layers, curled it around a pencil, and poked it through the box top, twisting to secure it underneath.

Be sure to follow the blog hop list below. Leave a comment on each designers' blog, as well as, the Echo Park Paper blog to be included in the drawing. ONE winner will be selected to win the "A Boy's Life" collection kit. All comments are due by midnight MST, Sunday, February 26 to qualify for the drawing. The winner will be announced on Monday, February 27 on the Echo Park Paper blog so be sure to check back to see if you've won.
