Welcome to the Two Peas in a Bucket Garden Girl Blog Hop! A Garden Girl is the title we receive as designers for the Two Peas website. As Garden Girls we create projects, host challenges, teach classes, and participate in events all designed to inspire your creativity. This week the Garden Girls are sponsoring special projects and giveaways on our personal blogs.
For my project, I decided to create something inspired by a project I saw on Pinterest several weeks ago…only my version will be a little bit different. Here’s how it looks right now:

I started out with an old(er) brass container and I spray painted it. After the paint dried, I embellished the container with patterned paper, ribbon, and chipboard (all of the products are linked below). Next, I took the clippers out to one of our now leafless trees an snipped off a branch – which I also spray painted (white and cream). I added foam inside the container, stuck in the branch, and topped it off with some spanish moss. I think it looks cute - but it’s super BARE!

See all of these paper leaves I cut out? My plan is for each member of our family to write things they are grateful for on these leaves, then I will tie them onto the branches. By the time Thanksgiving rolls around later this month, the tree should be full of beautiful leaves – and even more beautiful thoughts!

I love finding ways to record the things we are grateful for and I can’t wait to see what my family thinks about this project! I’m planning on sharing some photos of the finished project, so please check back later this month to see how it turns out!
And now, for my giveaway! I want to give one of YOU a gift certificate to Two Peas in a Bucket. Sound good? All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me one thing YOU would write on a leaf if you were to make a Gratitude Tree like mine! :o)
Please be sure to leave an e-mail address so I can contact you if you win! I’ll choose a random winner on November 8th.
Be sure to follow the list below as you hop from one blog to the next. Each Garden Girl is hosting her own giveaway so be sure to read the instructions for how you can participate in each contest. If you get lost simply either start at the beginning of the blog hop again or skip to the next blog listed below.

ReplyDeleteLove the project! Pinterest is rapidly becoming one of my favorite things! My gratitude leaf: I'm so grateful for how well loved I've been in my life by my Savior, my mother, and my family. Their love has been the model by which I love the them and the world. It's also the reason why I know I can wait to find the one who will love me as well or better than I've been loved all my life!
