Brad and I have been working so hard for the last couple of weeks, getting our yard cleared out, leveled off, and ready for sod. We have a landscaper scheduled to arrive Friday morning to lay down our lush new grass. We were working outside last night, getting a few sprinklers repaired and clearing out the last of the piles in the back yard. It was a lot (a LOT) of work, but we were so excited to be to this point. Then we woke up this morning to this:
Yep. Snow. May 19th. Nice.

Can you lay sod over snow? Probably not. Crossing my fingers we’ll be back to RAIN tomorrow, instead of snow. Or even sunshine – gasp…imagine that!
Well, since I’m obviously not doing a lot of gardening right now, I’ll have to get my flower fix somewhere else. Luckily, Creating Keepsakes is helping me out with that. Their latest Tips & Tricks issue is all about flowers. Actually, that’s what it’s called:
Fabulous Flowers!
Scrapbooking Tips & Tricks: Fabulous Flowers shows hundreds (273, according to the cover) of creative ways to use flowers on your scrapbook layouts. There are ideas for using pre-made flowers and ideas for creating your own from scratch!
Here’s a layout I created for the issue that shows what a difference using a floral background can make:

And of course, here’s a sneak peek inside the issue for you:
(If you click to open this, you’ll see a sneak peek of another one of my layouts on the Table of Contents page!!)
Now for the giveaway! Creating Keepsakes is, once again, allowing me to give a copy of this issue to one of my blog readers! Just leave a comment here before Monday, May 23, 2011 to be entered into the drawing! I will announce the random winner here on Monday morning.
